Solution architecture for a new Superannuation product at a Big 4 Australian bank
Ground-up architecture to support a launch of a new superannuation product, including new Product Administration System, full integration into the bank’s Internet banking system, regulatory and business reporting, electronic and paper statements, integration with third party providers, bank’s account origination workflow and subsequent migration of customers from three superannuation systems onto it.
Architectural review and 3 year solution roadmap for a leading software provider
A leading Australian software provider needed a complete overhaul of their core product’s architecture, replacement of outdated Flash technology with a modern UI framework, refresh of their technology stack with “latest and greatest” tools and a solution for scalability problems of their rapidly expanding business. We developed a target architecture solution and a 3 year transition plan across multiple streams of work – Core Application, Infrastructure and CI/CD, Reporting and data, Integration and Event Streaming.
Big data ETL pipeline for a Big 4 bank
Replacement of manual processes around application of discounts and fee waivers on product bundles across the bank’s entire customer book. The solution utilised bank's big data platform, introduced Apache Spark cluster computing framework to the bank's architecture and built a new PEGA decisioning engine to perform initial and regular daily on-going eligibility checks for multi-account bundles of all bank's customers. Architecture consulting to a disruptive FinTech start up
A rapidly expanding Australian FinTech start up needed an architecture oversight and guidance on a number of technology topics. Architectural assessment of the company’s Digital systems landscape resulted in increasing velocity of their deliverables. Our domain knowledge in Financial Services helped in defining company’s Minimum Viable Product offering for the initial product’s launch.
Performance optimisation and re-engineering of a critical insurance pricing engine
A leading actuarial services provider develped an extremely comprehensive pricing engine for insurance industry but struggled with performance of the system to meet their clients' SLAs. Zepso Consulting reviewed the technical architeture, conducted performance testing, identifying key bottlenecks and then re-engineered key parts of the code, improving performance to the two orders of magnitude while maintaining the consistency of the engine's output.
